Masterpiece Oval Cut Sri Lankan Sapphire Ring

Sri Lanka, the famed Spice Island is also the oldest source of sapphires in the world, with the Vedda people first discovering the coloured pebbles in streams. These gemstones have adorned royalty and world leaders for millenia and have long been considered a symbol of love, power and wisdom.

Crafting A Modern Classic

Some of the finest Sri Lankan Sapphires are from the early 1900’s, before commercial mining began. This superb 10.70 ct is no exception, liberated from an Edwardian piece. This untreated sapphire offers vibrant sea blue tones and has been recut and polished over two months making it one of the finest examples of its size available today.
