The perpetual calendar chronograph is considered by many to be the ultimate complication and the pinnacle of a watchmakers' art. For Patek this journey started back in 1941 and every evolution has moved us towards what we see today in the 5270R-001. In this rose gold version with the silvery opaline dial the day and month are indicated in apertures at 12 o'clock, the date and moon phase at 6. At 3 o'clock is the 30 minute chronograph with the leap-year indicator below, at 9 o'clock is the seconds counter with day/night indicator below. At 41mm the case is a perfect size to accommodate the complications and wears fantastically well. A watch for life.
