Honeycomb 3.43ct Diamond Bombé Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold

A superb hexagonal and trapeze cut diamond bombé ring from the Honeycomb collection that has been inspired by the Retro period. The bombé design became popular in France during the 1920s and continues to be regularly seen in the collections of the famous houses of the Place Vendôme today. The domed shape provided an iconic canvas that was continually reinterpreted with different gemstones and patterns. A true statement style that is incredibly elegant and tactile when worn on the finger, the iconic domed shape of this bombé design commands attention with an intricate hexagonal pattern of expertly set hexagonal and trapeze cut diamonds (3.54cts). This piece was designed by a member of the Pragnell family who was inspired by both our extensive collection of antique and period jewellery along with the intricate patterns found in Cotswold honeycomb. This is evident in the choice of 18ct yellow gold, which will positively glow when worn in the midsummer sunshine. A truly iconic piece from Immensely wearable today as a showpiece cocktail ring, and showcasing the classic birthstones for April and July, it was in the 1950s, 60s and 70s that the bombé became an iconic design.
