Antique Edwardian Pearl and Diamond Bracelet 1.20ct in Platinum
Brilliant Cut, Millegrain Set
Description
A delicate platinum, diamond and pearl openwork lozenge plaque bracelet from the Edwardian period. Eight openwork slim lozenge sections elegantly encircle the wrist each set with five Millegrain set old European cut diamonds (1.20cts). Eight creamy lustrous small pearls have been set between each lozenge section, and beautifully complement the charm of the old cut diamonds. This beautiful bracelet perfectly showcases the superb craftsmanship and intricate details that are found in the best pieces from the Edwardian period. Intricate bracelets perfectly suited the elaborate fashions of the time, and were an almost indispensable part of a lady's daily wardrobe. The Edwardian period only lasted for nine years (1901-1910), but it was an incredibly important era for jewellery design. Hugely intricate pieces, showcasing the very best diamonds and gemstones, were worn with elaborate fashions from the most famous French couture houses. Driven by the explosion of court life, steered by the fashion-conscious King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, this was a truly special time. A truly delicate and feminine jewel that will look stunning worn to celebrate a summer wedding, when the warm sun will illuminate the lustrous pearls and cause the diamonds to subtly sparkle
