About Boucheron Antique Jewellery
Founded in 1858, the House of Boucheron was the first to occupy a salon in the Place Vendome in Paris. Favoured by the immensely wealthy and powerful Imperial Russian Romanov family, they became famous for statement necklaces, tiaras, and delicate pearl and diamond pieces. The Duchess of Cornwall wears an impressive Boucheron “honeycomb” pattern tiara from the 1920s, which was originally presented to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in 1942. This originally belonged to the Hon. Mrs Ronald Greville (1863-1942), who was a popular society hostess and wealthy jewellery collector. On her death, her collection was bequeathed to Queen Elizabeth (the future Queen Mother). Queen Rania of Jordan is also a well-known fan of the House, and has worn a number of unique and interesting pieces since she became Queen Consort in 1999.
Pragnell are proud to display a number of antique and vintage Boucheron designs from the Retro period, in warm yellow gold, which are particularly sought after by collectors today. Our collection includes rings, necklaces and cufflinks, which are as wearable today as they were sixty years ago.
