Description
A striking diamond ring from the Retro period. A central transitional cut diamond (0.40ct) has been corner claw set atop a raised tapering channel set with Swiss/eight cut diamonds (0.25ct). Dramatic openwork cage like decoration gives this piece a distinct bombé’ form, which is completed by a reeded shank. The use of hard-wearing platinum highlights the special character of this ring and tells us that only the most experienced jeweller could have crafted it over a period of many hours. Immensely wearable today as an engagement or dress ring this is the perfect showpiece for the birthstone for the month of April.
