Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Buckle Ring in White Gold and Platinum

A striking platinum and white gold buckle motif ring from the Art Deco period. Elegantly curved to sit perfectly on the finger channel set baguette cut sea blue sapphires form the prong of the buckle design. The shaped frame has been expertly set with sparkling round cut diamonds that perfectly complement the central blue sapphires. Jewellery designed to represent buckles became popular during the earlier Victorian period with rich symbolism focused on the binding of two individuals in love or friendship.
