DISCOVERA Legend of the Himalayas
Rare by Nature
High in the remote Zanskar Range of the Himalayas, the discovery of Kashmir sapphires in the late 19th century marked the beginning of a remarkable chapter in gemstone history. The legendary deposits produced their finest stones for only a brief period, with the richest workings largely depleted by 1887.
Today, these historic gemstones are among the rarest and most coveted in the world, treasured for their extraordinary colour and exceptional scarcity.
A Study in Blue
The Kashmir Glow
At the heart of this Masterpiece lies a 6.67ct natural Kashmir
sapphire, distinguished by its velvety cornflower-blue hue
with subtle violet undertones giving it a captivating depth. Its soft,
silk-like luminosity is created by delicate internal structures that gently
diffuse light, producing a distinctive glow that appears to radiate
from within the stone.
Entirely unheated, the sapphire retains its
natural colour and character, with SSEF and AGL certification
confirming its Kashmir origin and untreated status.
Celebrating the Stone
Generations of Expertise
Conceived by Charlie Pragnell and Tom Crookenden and handcrafted in the Pragnell workshops, this design celebrates the rare beauty of an unheated Kashmir sapphire.
The signature Pragnell Setting allows the gemstone’s colour to take centre stage, held securely by four hand-shaped claws. Graduated French-cut diamonds totalling 1.82ct are individually cut to fit and channel-set into the shoulders. Their broad flashes of light create a refined balance of brilliance and depth.
