This vibrant fine blue sapphire (3.06ct) captivates the eye, securely claw set into richly polished 18ct yellow gold. Geometric tapered trapeze cut diamonds (0.60ct) have been expertly hand selected to sit in the top sections of each shoulder; discreetly drawing the eye towards the impressive centrepiece with their delicate sparkle. The island country of Madagascar is surrounded by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and is home to a striking array of flora and fauna. Large sapphire deposits were discovered on the island in the 1990s, and have since become renowned for their exceptional quality, vibrancy, and size. The example featured here reminds us of the ocean viewed on a beautiful summer's day and is the result of trace elements of iron and titanium.
