New Origins Collection
Carved into 18ct gold and set with fine diamonds, this 430 year old ‘Royal Court’ pattern was discovered when renovating the Tudor building, which houses our showroom in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Royal Origins
Installed during the reign of King James I by Abraham Sturley, an architect and close friend of William Shakespeare, this remarkable feature was created under special permission from the King to use the distinguished ‘Royal Court’ pattern. Over the centuries, this beautiful architectural element has witnessed countless moments of significance, as well as many special people, ideas, and acts of legacy. It has served as a home, a lawyer’s office, a butcher’s shop, The Unicorn Inn, and a theatre where many of Shakespeare’s works were performed.
Crafting the Next Act
The Royal Court pattern has long been a source of inspiration, influencing countless designs over the years and becoming an integral part of Pragnell’s Origins. In its latest evolution, the pattern has been reimagined as a bold, crisp, and symmetrical motif that echoes the distinctive geometry of the original — now celebrated as the ‘Jacobean’ pattern. Expertly hand-carved in rich 18ct gold and delicately accented with diamonds, each piece in our new Origins collection embodies refined sophistication and timeless craftsmanship, forming a striking suite of statement jewels.
Destined to Perform
Effortlessly combine pieces from the collection when dressing up for an evening out or keep it casual with just your favourite piece. Available in a variety of styles — from generous gold bangles to delicate stacking rings — the new Origins Collection is as versatile as the pattern that inspired it, standing as a timeless tribute to a Royal legacy.
