Each year, for 12 years, Montblanc is celebrating the eastern zodiac of the year. The year of the ox begins with the Chinese New Year in 2021. The Montblanc Legend of Zodiacs The Ox Limited Edition 512 (8x8x8) is dedicated to the zodiac sign ox and also honours the number 8, which is a lucky number according to Asian beliefs. The Ag 925 sterling silver cap is hand engraved with an ox. The champagne-tone gold-coated barrel is adorned with delicately engraved ornaments inspired by the "lucky cloud". The champagne-tone gold-coated cone is set with an aquamarine in reference to the birthstone of the ox sign. The current year of the ox, 2021, is engraved on the cap ring alongside the last six years that fall under the sign of the ox. The cap is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl. The nib, made of Au 750 solid gold is adorned with a fine engraving of the ox symbol.
