A Golconda Pear-Shaped Diamond Necklace
From Mine to Masterpiece: We are constantly searching for the finest of nature’s rare jewels, the rarest of which come from extinct mines that have long since ceased production. Often of unparalleled quality, unearthing them from the annals of history takes knowledge, passion, and perseverance. The Golconda Masterpiece Diamond necklace stands as a testament to this approach, a tale of provenance, timeless beauty, and rarity that spans the globe from India to Australia.

A Drop of Provenance
Source & Origin
Exceptionally pure and rare, legendary Golconda diamonds are amongst the most coveted gemstones on Earth. Worn by royalty, these diamonds have a rich history dating back to the 16th century in India’s Golconda region. They were the first diamonds discovered and revered for their unparalleled beauty and clarity.
Formed of pure carbon deep within the Earth, they lack any measurable impurities, with the most prized examples being D colour Type IIa, as are the diamonds in this necklace. The mines produced exquisite stones until the 18th century, and by the late 19th century, they were depleted.

Timeless Beauty
From Mine To Masterpiece
At the heart of this piece are two types of exceptional gemstones: an 8.04ct D colour Type IIa Golconda pear-shaped diamond drop and 39 fancy intense pink princess-cut diamonds totalling 7.17 ct. These exquisite stones, sourced from now-extinct mines, embody unparalleled rarity.
Presented in a timeless combination of pink and white, this piece showcases a stunning contrast between the unique ultra-limpidity (ice-like characteristics) of all 42 white diamonds and the 39 fancy intense pinks, whose rich hue and rose gold mounts perfectly complement the purity of the surrounding white diamonds.
Rare Brilliance
Sourcing Sets
To pay fitting tribute to the unique D colour 8.04ct Type IIa Golconda that features as the centre of this piece, a number of designs were conceived.
Ultimately, it took inter-generational relationships, perseverance, and patience to realise the final piece. The stunning gradated necklace features two cuts, in two diamond colours, which required extensive sourcing and the skill of our master craftsman.
