Masterpiece Pear Shaped 5.54ct Golconda Diamond and Pearl Necklace in Platinum

Two rare and important Golconda diamonds form the elegant drop sections of our latest Masterpiece pendant necklace. Secured by platinum claws the setting of these majestic diamonds has been inspired by the famous Cullinan diamonds, which form part of the British Royal Collection. Most recently the late Queen Elizabeth II wore the Cullinan III & IV diamonds as a brooch for her Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012. A true legacy jewel, both the pear -shaped (5.54ct) and cushion cut diamonds (1.08ct) are accompanied with certification from the GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) confirming exceptional D colour and Internally Flawless clarity grades. An eye-catching 45cm chain set with lustrous pearls and small spectacle set diamonds completes the design. These exceptional diamonds are also classified as a rare and sought after Type IIa, which means they are the most chemically pure and optically transparent type of diamond. Displaying the clear hallmarks of stones from the Golconda region of India, these are truly exceptional examples.
