The vibrant sapphire (2.24ct) captivates the eye, securely claw set into lustrous platinum. Sparkling tapered baguette cut diamonds (0.35ct) have been hand selected to sit either side of the central sapphire, discreetly drawing the eye towards the impressive centrepiece with their delicate sparkle. Expertly designed by members of the Pragnell family, in homage to the solid architectural forms of the early 19th-century Regency period, this exquisite design perfectly showcases this exceptional stone. Sri Lanka (Ceylon) is known as "The Gem Island” and is famous for producing a wide variety of exceptional quality stones. Many of the most famous sapphires in the world have come from Sri Lanka, with the characteristic vivid, lighter, and brighter blue colour of these stones being highly regarded. The sapphire set into this ring is accompanied with certification from the WGI (World Gemological Institute), confirming it has been subjected to heat treatment to enhance its colour and clarity.
