Silver Victorian Claret Jug Charles Boyton, 1892

This classic shaped jug is boldly cut with a lattice and stud pattern; the silver mounted neck, spout and lid combine with chased scroll handle, which sweeps down to plain silver band encircling lower body. The neck has repousée work with masks of Bacchus with vine leaves and grapes.
