Description
A charming old cut diamond captivates as the centrepiece of this stunning ring, inspired by the Edwardian period. This beautiful diamond has been intricately set into durable platinum and surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds. Navette shaped motifs define the top sections of each shoulder to perfectly complete the design. The expert setting and low profile of this piece ensure that it is perfect to be worn as an engagement ring. The Edwardian period only lasted for nine years (1901-1910), but it was an incredibly important era for jewellery design. Hugely intricate pieces, showcasing the very best diamonds and coloured gemstones, were worn with elaborate fashions from the most famous French couture houses. Driven by the explosion of court life, and steered by the fashion-conscious King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, this was a truly special time.
