Masterpiece 4.24ct Cushion Cut Sri Lankan Alexandrite and Diamond Ring in Platinum and 18ct Yellow Gold
Cushion Cut, Claw Set

Description
Our Manhattan range is a thoroughly modern interpretation of a classic Art Deco style. The latest addition to the collection showcases an exceptionally rare and sought-after Sri Lankan Alexandrite gemstone. Handcrafted from durable platinum, this classic three-row ring features bold shoulders set with French and carré cut diamonds (2.64cts). These have been expertly channel set and offer the perfect contrast against the superb central gemstone. Securely claw set into yellow gold, the cushion cut Alexandrite (4.24ct) commands attention. First discovered in Russia in the 19th century, this colour-changing variety of chrysoberyl displays a green colour when viewed in sunlight and red in lamplight. The example seen here was found in Sri Lanka and is accompanied by certification from the AGL (American Gemological Laboratories) confirming it is a completely natural example. Regarded as one of the birthstones for the month of June, captivating Alexandrites are sought after by gemstone collectors across the globe. The most famous example is the 17.08ct Whitney Alexandrite, which is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England, this ring offers the superb quality of the Pragnell Seal and showcases exceptional artistry, craftsmanship and gemstones.
