Description
A spectacular pair of pear diamond long drop earrings that come to life when worn in the ear. Inspired by our extensive collection of jewellery from the Art Deco period (1911-1940) these earrings have been expertly designed by a member of the Pragnell family. Showcasing the strong lines and geometric forms of the period, two defined rows form the slim platinum drop sections that have been articulated to move with the wearer. Small sparkling brilliant cut diamonds have been set into these sections, which are capped by arrangements of diamond set square forms (1.83cts). When worn in the ear the design of these earrings reminds us of iconic 1930s Manhattan architecture. Each earring has been defined by a pear cut diamond (2.02ct & 2.01ct) that has been expertly rubover set. These diamonds have been reset from an antique jewel that had become worn beyond repair, and are now ready to begin a new adventure. A brilliant cut diamond tops each earring featuring a practical post, which is secured in the ear by large butterfly backs. Each of the pear cut diamonds set into these earrings are accompanied by certification from the GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) to confirm I colour and SI1 clarity grades. All Pragnell Masterpiece creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients’ lives. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England they offer the superb quality of the Pragnell Seal, and showcase exceptional artistry, craftsmanship and gemstones.
