Description

A new bold gold and diamond bracelet from our mini Cleopatra collection. Seven tactile, faceted barrel-shaped beads are connected by small circular rings, creating a fluid, flexible design with natural movement (19cm). Each element has been hand-polished to ensure a unique radiance when worn against the skin. One link is fully adorned with small, sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds (0.188ct), offering a striking contrast against the plain polished examples. This collection was designed by members of the Pragnell family, inspired by their visit to Egypt and the wonders of this ancient civilisation. Masters of intricate goldwork and gemstone jewellery, barrel-shaped bead or ‘Sha’bi’ pattern designs were discovered in the three-thousand-year-old tomb of the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh, Tutankhamun. Unearthed in 1922, these extraordinary pieces captured the imagination of the world’s most renowned jewellery houses. The collection pays homage to the last pharaoh, Cleopatra, whose beauty and presence have become legendary. Famously portrayed by Elizabeth Taylor in 1963, bold gold jewels by Eugene Joseff dominated the screen and reignited fascination with this remarkable era. The Cleopatra collection celebrates one of history’s most iconic and captivating women, admired for her beauty, taste and power.
