Bohemia Multi-Coloured Sapphire and Tsavorite Expandable Bangle in 18ct Yellow Gold

A tactile and expandable (17cm) multi-coloured sapphire and Tsavorite garnet bangle from the beautifully versatile Bohemia collection. All Bohemia pieces channel the eclectic, yet opulent style of artistic Parisians in the early 19th century, known as haute bohème. Spheres of 18ct yellow gold seamlessly join to form this practical expandable bangle. A central richly polished bar element defines the piece with the front section expertly set with a combination of blue, pink, yellow & orange sapphires (0.44ct). Verdant green Tsavorite garnets (0.104ct) also draw the eye contrasting superbly against the multi-coloured sapphires. The unmistakeable green tone of the rare and sought after Tsavorite garnet was first heralded in the 20th-century with this exceptional garnet being named in honour of the Tsavo East National Park in Kenya where it was first discovered (by the geologist Campbell Bridges). The green colour comes alive in the light, which is the result of trace amounts of vanadium or chromium.
