Description
A striking ring in 18ct white gold that showcases the pure contrast between strong geometric lines and curved forms, which became so well-known during the Art Deco period (1911-1940). A tactile and alluring central romantic old European cut diamond has been securely corner claw set. The design has been completed by a wide part open work and engraved shoulders set with small diamonds and trilliant cut rich blue sapphires. Just over one hundred years ago, the discovery of the tomb of the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun had a huge impact on Art Deco design, with many shapes and forms used in jewellery that were found in the tomb being quickly adopted. The Art Deco period is renowned for finely designed and crafted jewellery; this piece celebrates the architectural influences of the time.
