Description

An elegant platinum and diamond French bracelet by the House of Janesich from the Art Deco period (late 1920s). This chic jewel is composed of five expertly constructed old cut diamond set tapering panels. These have been joined together by bold octagonal shaped links. The panel sections have been crafted in such a way that they move like fine fabric when worn on the wrist. A remarkable example of Art Deco craftsmanship this piece is as a truly special jewel. The House of Janesich was founded in Trieste in 1835, and later opened in Paris (1896). Highly regarded as a producer of fine jewellery and a dealer in gemstones and pearls the House reached a high point during the first half of the 20th-century, and collaborated with many of the famous residents of the Place Vendome. This signed piece showcases the superb quality of the House, which is still in family ownership today. This delicate jewel is as wearable today as it was in the 1920s.
