Description

An 18ct yellow gold diamond (3.14ct) set garter style bracelet from the Art Deco period. With platinum reserved for wartime use jewellery from this period embraced the warm tones of yellow and rose gold. Demonstrating superb skill and craftsmanship a network of polished hexagonal yellow gold pieces have been individually linked together to form a honeycomb or brick motif. On the wrist it feels supple and fabric like with the combination of yellow gold and sparkling diamonds perfectly complementing each other. This is a classic style that was originally created by the famed House of Van Cleef & Arpels in 1934.
Known as the “Ludo” bracelet it combined the two worlds of jewellery and couture that were so dominant in the Art Deco period.
