Description

A truly breathtaking five-row sapphire and diamond articulated bangle from the Art Deco period. Showcasing superb craftsmanship this beautiful jewel is composed of square cut sea blue sapphires (55cts) and romantically sparkling old cut diamonds (45cts). Set into lustrous platinum an expert articulated construction means that the sapphires and diamonds will shimmer beautifully when worn on the wrist. Capped by polished yellow gold end rows this is a striking example of bold wristwear. The Art Deco period (1911-1940) was hugely important for jewellery and the wider decorative arts. Bracelets were particularly important as fashions exposed the wrists and arms with glamourous evening entertainments becoming increasingly popular.
