First seen in 1968 the Golden Ellipse family from Patek Philippe has become instantly recognisable with its curved lines and tactile form symbolising 1960s luxury. Inspired by the two thousand year aesthetic rule called the Golden Section, a true definition in the harmony of proportions can be clearly seen in these iconic models. As contemporary today as they were over fifty years ago the current collection features three men's models that gleam in hand-polished platinum and gold. Striking blue and black sunburst dials draw the eye with rare handicraft gun engraving on the 5738/51G-001 highlighting superb craftsmanship. With a history of beguiling women models, Patek Philippe received the ultimate accolade when a magnificent blue gold dial Golden Ellipse model entered the collection of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the 1980s.
