About Patek Philippe Aquanaut
The now iconic and hugely sought after Patek Philippe Aquanaut family began in 1997 with the 5060A, which was soon regarded as the younger sibling of the then twenty-one-year-old Nautilus. The young and modern distinctive dimensions of the Aquanaut perfectly encapsulated the mood at the end of the 1990s with the statement grenade-patterned dial and “tropical” rubber strap attracting attention. In 2004 a distinctly feminine version of the Aquanaut appeared with the Luce (Italian for “light”) sparkling with colourless brilliants set into the bezel.
The current collection features seventeen models with the most well-known being the 5167A references being available on either a bracelet or “tropical” rubber strap. Entering their twenties the family also embodies Patek Philippe’s dedication to producing the very best complicated wristwatches. The 5968A-001 is perhaps one of the most well-known examples with a practical fly-back chronograph function and striking orange “tropical” rubber strap. A travel time function can also be found in the self-winding mechanical 5164A & 5164R references. This is joined by a quartz version with the glittering ladies Aquanaut Luce 5269/200R-001.
A favourite of celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Tom Holland, Pragnell were one of the first to launch the Patek Aquanaut collection in the United Kingdom, and are proud to offer an extensive selection today.
