A high quality and highly detailed sterling silver two handled Straight sided Cup. Engraved with floral panels & central panel with country scene & engraved below “Many a slip Twixt cup & Lip”, to the reverse an armorial with the engraving “Nemo, Repente, Lacessit”. Victorian, dated London 1879 By Hunt & Roskell. Over-marked with Finnish import marks for Helsinki 1965 and Corresponding dedication to the base. Rare. 24cm High & 15cm wide at base.
