A magnificent and imposing silver epergne centrepiece by the renowned Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, fully hallmarked for London 1904. The piece comprises a central raised column supporting a large pierced silver basket, flanked by further arms each carrying a brilliantly cut glass bowl the interplay of polished silver and sparkling cut glass creating a composition of exceptional decorative impact. The baskets are beautifully pierced and decorated with floral garlands, scroll handles and lion mask mounts, whilst the whole is raised on an oval base with reeded border and bold lion paw feet. A centrepiece of commanding presence and outstanding quality, representing Edwardian decorative silver at its very finest and certain to form the focal point of any dining table or display.
