Description

A fine and decorative Victorian silver fruit bowl by John Frederick Fenton & Frank Fenton, hallmarked Sheffield 1882. The centre of the bowl is richly decorated with a densely arranged composition of fruits, pineapples, grapes, pears and berries amongst foliage, whilst the broad lobed border, with its alternating shaped panels, frames the piece with great elegance. A handsome and well-finished example of Victorian Sheffield silverwork, equally well suited to use or display.
