The Tarratt Stoney Cove Treasure Hunt Challenge – in aid of LOROS

OMEGA are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Seamaster 300m. To celebrate this exceptional milestone, Tarratt of Leicester have generously pledged an OMEGA Seamaster 300m, worth £3,000, to the Tarratt Stoney Cove Treasure Hunt Challenge.

Since 1993, the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M has enjoyed a legendary following. Loved for its design and ocean going technology, the original timepiece signalled OMEGA’s triumphant return to the world of diving watches and also ignited the brand’s longstanding partnership with James Bond. Now sized at a larger 42mm, each new Diver 300M has been given a Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 movement, instantly taking the collection to a higher realm of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.

Marcus Ash, Managing Director of Tarratt, said “The Tarratt business has represented the OMEGA brand for over 60 years here in Leicestershire and in this, the 25th Anniversary year of the OMEGA Seamaster 300M series, it gives me great pleasure to work with the brand to support a local charity.”

“With the help of Martin Woodward and his team at Stoney Cove, we are hoping to raise £10,000 for the charity with this initiative. The Dive community is a close knit family of like-minded individuals, who have come together to support Tarratt charity events in the past.”

The LOROS Hospice cares for over 2,500 people every year across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. They provide free, high quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their families and carers.

The treasure hunt will run from August 1st until October 25th, with all proceeds of the Tarratt Stoney Cove Treasure Hunt Challenge going to LOROS.

To take part in the challenge, divers locate ‘Treasure Coins’. When discovered and presented to the ‘Receiver of Wreck’ along with a payment of £5, the diver is entered into the competition. There is no limit to the number of entries by an individual.

Marcus will be joining Martin Woodward from Stoney Cove at the National Dive show at the NEC on Saturday 27th October to announce the winner of the watch and to present LOROS with the funds raised from the initiative.
