Patek Philippe Calatrava LeadBeater’s Cockatoo 5077/210R-001

A highly collectible example of Patek Philippe’s Rare Handcrafts collection, the Ref. 5077/210R-001 brings together fine watchmaking, enamel artistry and gem-setting in an exceptionally distinctive presentation. Limited to just 10 pieces, the 38 mm 18ct rose gold case frames a remarkable Grand Feu cloisonné enamel dial depicting a Leadbeater’s cockatoo. The composition combines approximately 48cm of gold wire, 85 enamel colours and miniature enamel painting, with the dial undergoing multiple firings to achieve its depth and vibrancy. The case is complemented by 90 multicoloured sapphires and 22 diamonds, while the matching rose gold buckle carries a further 23 sapphires and 6 diamonds. A hand-stitched shiny coral alligator strap completes the presentation. At its heart is Patek Philippe’s ultra-thin self-winding Calibre 240, featuring a 22K gold micro-rotor, Gyromax® balance and Spiromax® balance spring, with a minimum 48-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire-crystal case back and finished to the Patek Philippe Seal, the movement reflects the technical refinement expected of the manufacture. With its extremely limited production, elaborate hand-crafted dial and refined mechanical architecture, the Ref. 5077/210R-001 is best regarded as both a fine timepiece and a miniature work of horological art.
