A superb 4.006ct Colombian Muzo emerald has been secured by four hand shaped 18ct yellow gold claws as the centrepiece of this spectacular Masterpiece Astoria setting ring. Inspired by the Art Deco architecture of 1930s New York city this verdant green emerald has been expertly complemented by precision cut sparkling diamonds that define the wide angular shoulders of the design. Further baguette cut stones top and tail the central emerald with small sparking brilliants adding the perfect finishing touch. Buttery yellow gold has been used to showcase these diamonds, which expertly draw the eye towards the delectable centre stone. Nestled beneath the rainforests that cover the country, the Colombian mines are famous for producing stones that have an intense green colour. Hand selected by a member of the Pragnell family this important gemstone is accompanied by certification from both the SSEF & AGL laboratories to confirm that it has not been subjected to any treatment to enhance its colour and clarity.
