Handcrafted By Pragnell
We are proud to share that over 80% of our Pragnell jewellery is handcrafted in our British workshops, with the remainder made in Italy, Switzerland, the US and Germany. We are committed to responsible sourcing, working with mines and suppliers who share our long-term environmental commitment. We are also a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council.

Over generations, we have refined the workshops we partner with, ensuring we work with specialists in all forms of jewellery-making from around the world. Our artisans possess a skill set of the highest excellence, honed through their rich heritage. To champion the preservation of traditional techniques, we directly employ, train, and partner with exceptional artisans, ensuring that these valuable skills are refined and retained. All Pragnell jewellery is designed and crafted in Great Britain by members of the family.
We are proud to communicate the country of origin of all Pragnell jewellery. This information is listed on our website and is shared with clients during visits to our showrooms, ensuring complete transparency about where each item has been handcrafted.
Over 80% of our jewellery is handcrafted in Pragnell British workshops, two of which are located within our showrooms in Stratford-upon-Avon and Leicester, where visitors can see the craftsmanship in action. Our British workshops specialise in various techniques, including stone setting, CAD design, chain making, and polishing. The remaining 20% of our jewellery is crafted in partner workshops located in Italy, the United States, and Switzerland. We select these centres of excellence for their centuries-old craftsmanship and skill.
We have a rich history of collaborating with highly skilled artisans. Each partner is carefully chosen by the Pragnell family to ensure that all goods are crafted to the highest standards. These valuable relationships have been nurtured over generations.

Italy has a rich history of producing the finest gold chains. The demand for expertly woven links of lustrous gold has led to the manufacturing of most of our Pragnell gold chains in Italy, ensuring that only the finest quality is achieved. The exception is the Pragnell Handmade English Chain, which showcases the utmost craftsmanship in the rare art of chain making and is crafted by an artisan in Great Britain.
The relationship between American jewellery workshops and Pragnell began during Charlie Pragnell's training period in New York. By forming connections with workshops and manufacturers, he gained insight into the intimate experience shared between goldsmiths and diamond cutters, where calibre-cut diamonds can be cut and set side by side in the same workshop, showcasing a very difficult skill executed with great finesse. These relationships have been nurtured to this day to produce Pragnell jewellery.

In Geneva, Switzerland, a handful of specialists in Pragnell partner artisan workshops are dedicated to polishing and setting exceptionally rare, high-quality gemstones. Often sourced from antique pieces, our investment-grade gems may need restoration after being worn for centuries before being incorporated into our jewellery.
In Germany, renowned for the quality of its jewellery manufacture and a long history of coloured gemstone cutting, Pragnell partners with workshops to create pieces that showcase these rare gems.
We are proud to unveil five new marks that will feature on each new piece of Pragnell jewellery as a commitment to where each piece has been handcrafted. The Pragnell Falcon represents Great British craftsmanship, the Centurion symbolises Italy, the Statue of Liberty stands for the US, the mountains signify Switzerland, and the Black Eagle is emblematic of Germany.
