George VI Silver Cocktail Shaker 1938
Hallmarked Birmingham
$7,969
Description
A fine George VI silver cocktail shaker, hallmarked Birmingham, 1938. Elegantly proportioned, the shaker features a tall, gently tapering cylindrical body with a highly polished plain silver finish. The body rises to a broad stepped and moulded collar, above which is a distinctive waisted upper section leading to a short cylindrical neck, with a fine perforated rim visible beneath the fitted cover. The removable cover is neatly formed with a slightly domed top, completing the shaker’s clean and balanced silhouette. An excellent example of late 1930s British silver, combining crisp geometric form with restrained decoration, and an elegant addition to a collection of antique silver or a period-inspired home bar.
