Description
An 18ct yellow gold trombone brooch from the 1980s. An intricately detailed trombone gleams in polished yellow gold. The trombone is a popular brass instrument that produces a particularly powerful sound. It has an important role in jazz music, and was made famous in New York's 1920s jazz scene by the legendary Miff Mole (1898-1961). This beautiful brooch would be the perfect gift for a budding player or experienced member of a brass orchestra.
The sculptural qualities of this piece ensure it will stand out worn on the lapel of a dinner jacket, or at the centrepiece of an elaborate silk scarf tied at the neck.
