Description
The Navitimer’s story began in 1952, when Willy Breitling introduced a chronograph with a circular slide rule, enabling pilots to carry out essential in-flight calculations. Officially adopted by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, it became a true aviation icon, worn by pilots, explorers, and even astronaut Scott Carpenter. While Concorde redefined air travel, the Navitimer played a vital role in navigating it. On 21 January 1976, Concorde launched the era of supersonic passenger travel, flying higher and faster than any commercial aircraft before or since. Nicknamed L’Oiseau Blanc (“The White Bird”), it cruised at 60,000 feet at Mach 2, standing as a lasting symbol of engineering achievement. This limited-edition Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 honours that legacy with a stratosphere-inspired blue dial, contrasting white subdials, and a matching alligator strap. Limited to 593 pieces—a tribute to Concorde’s Olympus 593 engines—the caseback features commemorative engravings. It is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, offering a 70-hour power reserve, chronograph functionality, and water resistance up to 30 meters, along with a five-year warranty extendable by an additional three years upon registration.
