Founded in 1833 in Le Sentier, Switzerland, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been at the forefront of watchmaking for nearly two centuries. The Maison has created more than 1,400 calibres and over 430 patents, earning its reputation as the “watchmaker’s watchmaker”, with the Reverso among its most enduring creations. The Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds continues the iconic rectangular design first created in 1931, distinguished by its swivelling case and distinctive three-lined gadroons. Crafted in 18ct pink gold, the 40.1 x 24.4 mm case houses the manually wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 822, measuring just 2.96 mm thick and offering a 42-hour power reserve. The silvered-grey dial combines guilloché at the centre with vertical satin-brushing, creating a refined interplay of textures, while black transferred Arabic numerals, a minute track and slender stick hands provide a crisp contrast. A small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock completes the display. The reverse of the case can be personalised with an engraving, while the watch is fitted with a black alligator strap and an 18ct pink gold pin buckle. Water resistant to 30m, the timepiece is also subjected to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s rigorous 1,000 Hours Control, an extensive programme designed to test the movement and complete watch for precision, reliability and performance under conditions reflecting daily wear.
