The Grand Complications collection from Patek Philippe showcases the superb artistry and skill of the true masters of horological complications. Since 1839, Patek Philippe has focused on showcasing the most complicated wristwatches, which embody an individual and distinguished elegance. The 5304/301R-001 is a stunning reinterpretation of the 5304R-001, which was seen in 2014 as the first Patek Philippe grand complication with a transparent sapphire-crystal dial. A 'miracle of transparency' the 5304-301R-001 combines both a minute repeater with a retrograde perpetual calendar that does not require any adjustment until 2100. These are two rare complications, which only the most experienced and skilled watchmakers can produce. Showcasing superb gem setting skill the bezel, lugs and fold-over clasp have been hand set with 80 colourless precision cut baguette shaped diamonds that total 6.22ct. The sides of the 43mm rose gold case are further highlighted by engraved white gold 'leaf' motif inserts, which complete this amazing creation. The 5304/301R-001 houses the now legendary self-winding mechanical movement (calibre R 27 PS QR LU), which has a maximum power reserve 48 hours.
Available on an application only basis, the 5304-301R-001 is the perfect dress watch to be worn now, and looked after for the next generation. The audible chimes of each 5304/301R-001 are listened to by the Company President, Mr Thierry Stern, before leaving the manufacture in Geneva to ensure they sound exactly right.
