Models from the elegant and tactile Gondolo family take their name from the famous Brazilian retailer, Gondolo & Labouriau, who were instrumental in developing the name of Patek Philippe in the Americas during the early 20th century. Currently offered as a solely feminine collection, the family showcases the strong lines and geometric forms of the Art Deco period, with delicate tonneau and cushion shaped cases. The special 7042/100G-010 Haute Joaillerie model glows in warm 18ct white gold, whilst effortlessly combining both fine watchmaking and gem setting. The bezel and lugs of the case have been expertly hand set with 2.45ct of colourless precision cut baguette diamonds (78 diamonds in total). The subtle sparkle of these diamonds perfectly highlights the dial that has been fully set with both sparkling brilliant diamonds (359 diamonds 1.28ct total) and 12 trapeze cut diamond hour markers (0.14ct). Patek Philippe's true mastery of the jeweller's craft can be further seen in the bracelet, which combines 78 lustrous Akoya pearls (53.04 ct) with 48 princess cut diamonds (2.40ct). Sublime attention to detail can be seen in the delicate pearl cabochon (0.14 ct) that has been expertly set into the crown whilst the clasp contains 55 diamonds (0.24 ct).
