Introduced in 1984—at a time when extra-thin quartz watches were in vogue—Breitling made the bold decision to launch a proportioned mechanical watch. Inspired by the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, developed in 1983 in collaboration with the renowned Italian aerial squadron, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling’s centenary in design and marked the return of the mechanical chronograph that had established the brand’s international reputation. This Chronomat features a 42?mm case with four rider tabs on the iconic bezel and is fitted with the signature “Rouleaux” bracelet. It is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve and 200 meters of water resistance. The watch is COSC-certified as a chronometer. Breitling provides a five-year international warranty, with an additional three-year warranty for mechanical manufacture movements. The warranty extension is available through online registration.
