Description

A wine-red cabochon garnet glows as the centrepiece of this immensely wearable clip pendant. Originally an elegant stick pin from the Edwardian period this was originally designed to take pride of place in the lapel of a jacket. Elegant gold work has been used to frame the central garnet mimicking flower stem and leaf tendrils. Expertly converted in the Pragnell workshops into a removable clip pendant this has been paired with an intricate French openwork link chain section (45cm) from the Belle Epoque period. Garnets have a rich history in jewellery having been used for thousands of years to represent love and protection.
