Description
A striking cabochon sapphire and ruby ring by the House of Bvlgari from the 1970s. The central sea blue sapphire has a smooth tactile quality securely rubover set into richly polished yellow gold. This beautiful gemstone has been flanked by two shield cut rubies. Since its founding in 1884, the House of Bvlgari has become famous worldwide for the warmth and bright colours of their truly iconic Italian style. The house was as its zenith when it was owned and run by the founding family, from 1884 to 2011. Truly innovative creators, the House gained inspiration from many things to create their collections. These ranged from ancient Roman architecture to the vibrant colours of the Italian summer. The popularity of Bvlgari pieces today is largely due to the late Dame Elizabeth Taylor, who was a well-known jewellery collector and connoisseur. A stunning piece that showcases true 1980s style and glamour. Perfectly on trend in 2025 this can be worn and enjoyed as a captivating dress ring.
