Description
A chic sapphire and diamond cocktail ring from the Art Deco period. The central old cut diamond (0.75ct) has been securely millegrain set into platinum as the centrepiece of this stunning ring. Designed to resemble a flower head eight marquise cut diamonds (0.66ct) surround the central stone. These are connected to an outer octagonal border that has been set with small old cut stones. Sea blue calibre cut sapphires have been set into the curved rectangular spaces between the marquise cut diamond petals. An intricate pierced gallery, and old cut diamonds set into the top sections of each shoulder complete this classic design. Originating from the Art Deco period (1911-1940) the strong forms and geometric lines that are now so well-known from pieces produced during the period can be clearly seen. Combining the birthstones for both April and September this will make a perfect gift to be worn and enjoyed.
