Description
A statement 14ct white gold, sapphire and diamond cocktail ring from the Art Deco period. Showcasing the strong lines that are so beloved of this era a central sea blue oval cut sapphire (0.85ct) commands attention. This has been surrounded and flanked by millegrain set romantically sparkling old mine cut diamonds. Boldly designed as almost three separate rings curved elements showcasing further diamonds (2.54cts) complete the design. Originally this ring would have been worn as a symbol of wealth and status along with an arrangement of bold bracelets and other jewels to an evening party. During this period short sleeved fashions exposed the arms and wrists, and enabled sparkling jewels to catch all eyes on the dance floor.
