Pre-Owned Panerai Watches
Giovanni Panerai founded the company in Florence in 1860; it was a workshop, shop and a school of watchmaking. In 1916, Guido Panerai, Giovanni’s grandson, invented Radiomir – a radium-based luminant. Twenty years later, the Italian Navy commissioned Panerai to produce a timepiece; this was when the first models bearing the Radiomir name were produced. The commission had a very large watch face, excellent water resistance, and could be read both in the dark and underwater.
Panerai watches have become increasingly popular due to their unique oversized designs and have been seen worn by celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.
In 1993, they launched three limited edition styles, based on the original Italian Navy timepieces: the Luminor, Luminor Marina and the Mare Nostrum. They are highly sought after timepieces among collectors.
At Pragnell, all our second-hand Panerai watches are fully serviced, or restored by a brand authorised watchmaker where necessary, fitted with a brand new strap (if leather or fabric), and sold with a guarantee of at least two years. Furthermore, when buying a Panerai second-hand watch, you will also receive the same quality aftercare as you would if buying brand new.
