A refined ruby five-stone ring from the Victorian period. Five Burmese rubies of purplish-red colour in elongated antique cushion cuts are claw set in yellow gold. Small old cut diamonds are interspersed between each ruby.
The profile of this rare ring reveals delicate scroll carvings below each ruby.
The Victorian period is known, in part, as the Romantic era. Many pieces of jewellery from this age showcase sentimental engravings and decorative carvings.
