Contemporary Van Cleef & Arpels Floral Ring 4.40ct in 18ct Yellow Gold

The house was as its peak when it was owned and run by the founding family, from 1896 to 1999. This 18ct yellow gold 'bombé' or 'bomb-shaped' shaped ring showcases two flower heads displayed on top of a richly pave diamond set background. Influenced by the wonders of flora and fauna, designs from the House often feature delicate and feminine flower forms. Here we see two cosmos flowers with their statement petals defined by vibrant pink sapphires. Brilliant cut diamonds have been expertly rub over set to depict the rich centres, whilst marquise cut green emeralds have been used to represent the leaves. The cosmos flower has been depicted in the collections of the House for many years, with a number of versions featuring in the current collections today.
