In the heart of the British countryside, surrounded by partridge and pheasant, the two Tarratt businesses presented their exquisite fine jewellery at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire, last month.
This annual event, held for the first time at Stanford Hall, was an opportunity for this family owned business with showrooms in Leicester and Rugby, to entertain a number of guests in an idyllic location equidistant from both of their showrooms.
As both a British manufacturer, and retailer, Tarratt are proud of their heritage. Supplying fine silver, jewellery and watches to Leicestershire and their neighbouring counties since 1913 they set out their stall to play to their strengths. Craftsmanship producing detailed and beautiful creations is balanced by outstanding customer service and a positive ‘can do’ attitude from the Tarratt watch and jewellery specialists.
“I felt this was the best way to entertain a large number of our customers in a completely different way” said Marcus Ash, Managing Director of the company. “We host a number of events throughout the year and following a most enjoyable day in Belvoir Castle, showing the very latest offering by the Patek Philippe watch house, I thought that hosting an event at the other end of the county might be a good idea” said Ash.
In the hall’s imposing, and impressive, ballroom the stage was set. Showcasing unique gemstones and one-off jewellery creations across every gemstone group, from coloured diamonds to the rarest of natural corundum (that’s Ruby and Sapphire to the uninitiated amongst us).
Leading from the ballroom, via a secret passageway, guests were encouraged to explore a fine mechanical watch exhibition.
To complete the day a craftsmanship demonstration was set up with the Tarratt Leicester workshop team recreating their state of the art jewellery workshop at the Hall. Using their traditional gemsetting tools, a microscope fitted with a camera and a large HD screen, master-craftsman, David Watt was able to demonstrate his exceptional abilities.
An enjoyable time was had by all and with over 350 guests in attendance throughout the day, and with a flaming torch lined drive away from the event, some wonderful memories were created.
