The Grand Complications collection from Patek Philippe showcases the superb artistry and skill of the true masters of horological complications. Since 1839, Patek Philippe has focused on showcasing the most complicated wristwatches, which embody an individual and distinguished elegance. The 7040/250G-001 gleams with a polished 36mm white gold case and is a new addition to the ladies' minute repeater collection. Patek Philippe produced their first minute repeater model for ladies in 1916, and have continued to produce these exceptional timepieces ever since. An enchanting rich blue hand-guilloched enamel dial showcases superb rare handcraft skills with flinque enamel coming alive in the light and gold printed hour markers appearing to float above. The bezel of this delicate creation has been expertly handset with colourless brilliant cut diamonds (0.78ct) in the trademarked 'Flamme' setting. This was first seen in 2016, and utilises staggered rows of diamonds to amplify their sparkle and brilliance. A patinated ocean blue alligator leather strap and a diamond-set (0.18ct) prong buckle complete this exciting new model. The 7040/250G-001 houses the now legendary self-winding movement (calibre R 27 PS), which has a maximum power reserve of 48 hours.
Available on an application only basis, the 7040/250G-001 perfectly embodies the slogan, “you never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation”. Perfect to wear to the ultimate special occasion the audible chimes of each 7040/250G-001 are listened to by the Company President, Mr Thierry Stern, before leaving the manufacture in Geneva to ensure they sound exactly right.
