The Grand Complications collection from Patek Philippe showcases the superb artistry and skill of the true masters of horological complications. Since 1839, Patek Philippe have focused on showcasing the most complicated wristwatches, which embody an individual and distinguished elegance. The 6300G-010 is the most complicated example in the regular collection, with an imposing 47.7mm 18ct white gold case containing a breathtaking twenty complications. These complications include an instantaneous perpetual calendar (not requiring any adjustment until 2100), five chiming functions, and patented date repeater and alarm mechanisms. An unusual reversible double face, with a part hobnail patterned, blue opaline dial, enables these complications to be easily read. The 6300G-010 houses the now legendary manual winding movement (calibre 300GS AL 36-750 QIS FUS IRM), which has a maximum power reserve of 72 hours. The Grandmaster Chime was first seen in in 2014, when Patek Philippe produced their most complicated wristwatch ever in celebration of their 175th anniversary. The now legendary reference 5175 was produced in an incredibly small limited edition, and took the skills of the most experienced watchmakers (trained for twenty five years) over 100,000 hours to develop, produce and assemble.
Available on an application only basis, the 6300G-010 perfectly embodies the slogan, “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.” Presented in a beautiful handmade box, this piece is accompanied by a matching pair of white gold and enamel cufflinks.
